Welcome Minimize

You have found the web home of WESNet Designs.

Over time, I will be adding content related to software programming and website development based around the ASP.NET and DotNetNuke web application/content management frameworks.

The site will also be a place to test, showcase, and share several new DotNetNuke modules that I have developed or on which I am now working.

If you are located in the western Maine lake and mountain area, please contact me if you are looking for assistance in developing a website for your business or organization.

ePrayer - DNN Module for Church Websites Now Available Minimize

New Version 04.02.01 Posted on April 7, 2008

Designed for The Bridgton Alliance Church website, this module provides a comprehensive system for submitting prayer requests and praise reports and updates to previous prayer requests. The highly customizable module includes provisions for sorting and display of requests by category, date range, etc., optional moderation of posts made by "un-trusted" users, automatically generated e-mails to users who have subscribed to track either all new requests or updates to existing requests, and much more.

Initially, the module (including source code) will be offered free of charge but after undergoing additional testing and enhancements will become available only through commercial channels.  For the developer, the module will also be a good example of techniques including custom module-level permissions, e-mail templating including tag replacement, post moderation and control of editing privileges by original content author ID.

Because the modules uses AJAX in a few key places (most noticably on the post creation/editing control), it requires DNN version 04.05.05 or later.

Please visit the Projects -> ePrayer page for screenshots and additional information. The module may be downloaded by registered site users on the Downloads page.

As this is currently a free offering, it is not officially supported. However, I will be happy to respond to e-mails regarding any bugs your encounter or new feature suggestions.
